The Chinese Crested Dog arrived in my life in 1996 while I possessed only a dobermann, "Norton de la Cour de la Fauconnière", faithful friend and guard of my equestrian property.
So I acquired my first powderpuff at the beginning of 1996; she was black and white, and with the agreement of her breeder I named her Mitsouko.
It was my first pet bitch because, in this time, I had no idea one day to create a canine breeding! My time was dedicated exclusively to the training and the participation in horse shows, horses being my passion since my soft childhood.
Mitsouko was extremely sweet and intelligent, I wished to add her a partner and I decided to welcome my first hairless "daughter" who had already six months. She was called Man-Ly and resulted from the same French breeder : very kind and cheerful, she had however a more energetic character.
I got acquainted of some Swiss breeders and decided to answer their recommendations and invitations to participate in a dog show. And it was in Bern (Switzerland) in 1997, first raid in an unknown world. At the end of one hour of observation, I had likened the way of presenting a dog and, but I was stunned to see my powderpuff rejected because of a blue eye and a third position for the hairless. This day, I understood in my depend that I lacked cruelly knowledge. I could not be satisfied with inferior results. And how I wished to pursue dog shows, I had a lot to learn on the morphology and the beauty required! So at once I noticed the very beautiful quality of the presented dogs this day and I fell in love with a bitch of six months naming Goldenberry Punching Ball.
![]() "Punki" became the bitch in the base of Oriental Jokes Kennel. She did not like very much shows but became all the same international champion. She did not like very much shows but became all the same international champion. But much more than that, she was my best bitch, as by the quality of the puppies as by her total worship to breed them. She is also and always the favourite at home, being endowed with a very big personality and with a particular and unique affection; now she is retired and takes advantage of idleness beautiful days!
I left Switzerland for France in 1998, first of all by moving in some kilometres from Geneva.

![]() Goldenberry Jay Donvalley, alias "Don", arrived home in spring, 1999 and allowed the breeding to take a decisive bend. Stud dog of very big quality, dog of fantastic show, he brought me all that I could hope for. The same year, I decided to import two American subjects: Babylon Scarlet Winged Hera, daughter of the Top Ten Trubo's Barney of Cadaran, and Babylon Red Winged Mars, already American champion and half brother of Hera: two dogs with wonderful character and prestigious bloodlines. ![]()
I again moved two years later, when I married my husband Alain, met in dog shows and himself breeder of Chihuahuas. ![]()

Carlotta Vom Gebrannten Walde took Nour's succession at the end of 2008.

And finally, I have also to associate to my success the breeders who relied on me and gave evidence me of their support throughout these first ten years; a big thank to them: Ladies Ruth Meyer, Anna Morton, Judith Topf, Rose and Louise Turley, Mister Adam Ostrowski. Breeding is a big voracious passion, I am completely devoted to my dogs and I think that they return it to me in increase a hundredfold! Oriental Jokes can be proud of having been able to bring its support for the development of the breed in France by importing a lot of dogs with bloodlines then unknown in this country and which are at the origin of all our puppies which henceforth made tree stump in different countries of Europe and moreover. Indeed, our dogs are known and recognized beyond borders. We are particularly proud that some of them were able to help in the starting up of the other kennels such as Little Champs in Belgium, to quote from it only one, with whom we maintain a good friendship since then. We want to honour them here:
